I use FL Studio myself for my professional film scoring/video game contract work and I wouldn't choose any other DAW over it. EWQL Symphonic Orchestra at the very least. The EWQL CCC is what you might be looking at to get started. It's possible to use FL itself to produce the music, but as most said here, it's not suited at all for orchestral film work. And you probably will be served for 10 years if not longer using them. Their instruments are easy to use, have a good powerful sound and will be usable in other genres as well. Libraries, like those from Vienna, can cost you 2000-4000$ just for the strings alone and I bet those aren't even the most expensive out there.Īs I said, in my eyes the EWQL CCC would be your best choice. Spending 1000 bucks might sound like a bit too much for some people, which is understandable, but if you really want to get serious, you have to invest one way or the other. I mean the fact alone that you can choose which instruments you want to have included is awesome. I bought the same bundle 5-6 years ago for about the same price, also on sale, but back then the choice for included plug-ins wasn't as good as it is today. If you really want to become serious about producing/composing orchestral music, but also don't want to spend half your life savings for authentic hollywood style orchestra sounds, then I would recommend something like this for a beginner:įor me, the complete composers collection by EWQL has always been the best 'bang for your buck' option when it comes to cinematic samples.
